Al Rayan Bank appoints new Chairman

Al Rayan Bank today announces the appointment of Simon Moore as Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors. Simon replaces Robert Sharpe who is stepping down after 4 years in the role.

Simon Moore also serves as Chairman of Cambridge & Counties Bank, a position he has held since 2016. Simon was a member of the management board of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) from 2013 until 2016 and its director responsible for London and the south of England.

Simon Moore commented on his appointment: “I am excited to be joining Al Rayan Bank. This is a bank with a clear sense of purpose which allows it to connect with customers in a unique way. I look forward to working with the Board and the management team and am confident that we can collectively capitalise on the opportunities that lie ahead. Robert Sharpe added: “I wish Simon all the very best in his new role and I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Board, the Bank Executive and all the people at Al Rayan for all their support over the last 4 years.
